About Go Travel
Go Travel started as a bricks and mortar travel agency in Vermilion, Alberta in 1974. Current owners Michelle Gammond and Michelle Service purchased it in 2014, and building on their experience as travel agents, they've turned Go Travel into an award-winning Canadian host agency.
Now, Go Travel is the host for nearly 100 agents across the country and has been recognized as a top performer with the Ensemble Travel Group consortia the past three years.

When did you become a travel agent?
2013
What's your favourite place you have visited so far?
India. The culture and customs are beautiful. The people were the nicest I've ever encountered. It was an eye-opening trip for me, everything I thought I knew, I didn't.
What place is currently at the top of your bucket list?
Bali. The nature and culture there has always intrigued me. The calm, warm waters along their stunning beaches don't suck either.
Share a piece of travel advice
Learn a few helpful phrases in the local language. What currency to bring? Electrical requirements? Just to name a few. We have guides we give to clients to help you with this.
Tell us about an amazing travel experience you've had
Being in Munich for Oktoberfest. Nothing like the real deal.
Riding the cog wheel up Mount Pilatus in Switzerland
(and I'm scared of heights).
Taking my 79 year old mom on her bucket list river cruise on the Danube during Christmas time and going to all the markets.
Being in St Lucia for their election. Soooo different! They have pre-election parades, and wear one of 2 colors depending on which party they support.
Tell us some random facts about you
I'm always on the hunt for the best made caesar
(the drink, not the salad).
I hate numbers and anything accounting related, but I'm good at it.
I'm a dreamer. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes dreams get replaced with new dreams.
But I loooove to dream big.

What place is currently at the top of your bucket list?
Taking my family to eastern Canada (my mom was born in Gaspe, Quebec and I want them to see it).

Baking and driving the combine during harvest are two of my most favourite and most relaxing things to do.
I have five children and wish I’d had even more.

I love lists. And crossing off all the things.
